Hemlock Barn Wedding: Penha and Andy

They met in the army. He thought she was beautiful. She told her friends that she was going to marry him one day. It wasn’t too terribly much later that they went skydiving together. Just as they landed, Andy knelt down and pulled something out of his pocket. And then he asked Penha one question. She said “yes!” then, and finally last weekend her initial prediction came true. They shared a beautiful Hemlock Barn wedding, and I can’t wait to share a few highlights from it!

You may remember Penha and Andy from their gorgeous mountain-top engagement session last fall. They married last weekend at a stunning venue near Boone, NC, and the day could not have been more perfectly beautiful!

From the laughter as everyone was getting ready to the joy as all the guests–one big, amazing group of friends– danced the night away. There were so many moments that defined the day, so many moments that will live with Penha and Andy and define their lives and marriage!

Penha’s sister and maid of honor shared about the idea of “twin flames.” I thought this was such a perfect way to describe Penha and Andy! Two bright lights who reflect one another and burn all the brighter because they’re together. They went on to thank everyone, from their family and friends to the vendors and those serving the meal.

The whole day was such a celebration of Penha and Andy and the love they have for one another. It was one of those beautiful days when the family and friends are almost as excited for the bride and groom as the bride and groom are! And everything about the day from the sunflowers to the tears and laughter to the hand-written vows was absolute perfection!

Penha and Andy, the two of you are kind, adventurous, and fun. Congratulations on your marriage! Your Hemlock Barn Wedding was completely stunning, and I know your marriage will be even more beautiful! I wish you both a lifetime of joy, love, and laughter!!
