He led her blindfolded up the hill. She didn’t know that the Boone engagement of her dreams was in the works! The whole way up she reminded him to not let her step in a cow pie. They reached the top of the hill where Matt had spread a blanket complete with picnic. Whitney thought it was a nice date. A perfect date, even. She had no idea what was coming.
But then Matt started talking. They talked about the land where they were picnicking, land they owned. They talked about the house they’d build, a house full of love with a perfect view of Grandfather Mountain. And, as they planned their future together, The Moment was coming. Matt knelt down and asked Whitney the question she’d been waiting for.
I bet you can guess what she said. 😉
I briefly met Whitney at a wedding last summer, but I had no idea at that time that she’d be calling me soon for her own wedding!! I was over the moon when she did, though! Whitney and Matt have known each other forever, and to spend an afternoon with them is nothing short of an absolute blast! They have so much fun together, and they include others in that fun so seamlessly that you feel like friends in minutes. They exude kindness, warmth, and hospitality, and they are a total joy to be around.
Whitney and Matt, I loved hearing your story, spending a little time on your land, and seeing the place where your dreams are going to be lived out. Your house plans sound like cozy mountain perfection! And your wedding is going to be beautiful. I absolutely can’t wait for July!! In the meantime, enjoy this small sampling from your beautiful fall Boone engagement session!!
