A Roanoke Country Club Wedding

How It All Began

Before I can tell you about Kelly and Cameron’s stunning Roanoke Country Club wedding, we have to go back to the beginning. They met in Youth Group as teenagers. Kelly’s first time visiting she heard about this guy named Cameron; many of the other girls had crushes on him. To be honest, she didn’t even think of him romantically when they first met because he was already dating someone. But Kelly’s sister gave him Kelly’s number, and a sweet friendship began to grow. And, from that friendship, and even sweeter love story developed.

The Proposal

They planned to go dancing. They dressed up, and he picked her up at the appointed time. Then, he suddenly remember something he had to pick up from their church. She was completely fine with swinging by to grab it. The problem was, once they stopped, he couldn’t find this mystery object. So he asked her to come in and help him look.

As she walked through the doors, her breath was stolen by how beautiful Cameron had made it look. Candles and rose petals were everywhere! He played her one of their favorite songs and then started talking about their story. Even then she didn’t see it coming!

But then he pulled her into the next room where there more roses, candles, music, and dinner for two. And, in a special little nook he’d set apart, he started saying all these sweet and wonderful things. That’s when it hit her! This was it! She was smiling and crying and in awe of the whole moment!

And then he asked her the most important question yet: “Kelly, will you marry me?” And she said yes.

A Roanoke Country Club Wedding

Not every couple can plan a day that’s supposed to be all about them and still be completely selfless in it, but Kelly and Cameron are one of those couples who absolutely can and did. They and their families are some of the kindest, warmest, most appreciative people you’ll ever meet! And, rather than making the day all about themselves, they took the opportunity of their wedding to celebrate. They celebrated Christ, His love for us, and their chance to reflect that love through their marriage. They celebrated the family and friends who had supported them throughout their lives. And they celebrated the start to a beautiful story–a marriage that will last a lifetime.

Every detail of Kelly and Cameron’s Roanoke Country Club wedding was carefully planned and completely stunning. From special moments to love and pray with their families built into their getting ready time to the special moments built into their ceremony where they honored the story that led them together, every part of the day reflected them, their love for one another, and their commitment to Christ so beautifully.

Every guest and vendor mattered to Kelly and Cameron and their families. I heard them individually thank everyone who was involved in the day with heartfelt gratitude. And it was an honor to serve them! I loved celebrating right alongside them!

Kelly and Cameron, I can’t say enough how much I loved being a part of your wedding. The two of you are two of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met, and the way your love and marriage reflect Christ is so beautiful. I know that your love is one that will not only last forever but will also inspire others and point them to Jesus. I wish you every joy and blessing under the sun. Congratulations on your marriage!!
