Nikki and PJ’s Boardwalk Engagement

Nikki and PJ met at Basic Training; things didn’t quite go according to plan with that, however, and they had to figure out a long distance relationship for a time. Despite the unexpected twists, though, their relationship has held strong. Just to give you an idea of the determination and drive and tenacity that defines these two, PJ proposed to Nikki despite having lost his voice! Even though he wasn’t able to verbally ask the question, Nikki said “yes!”, and I loved having the opportunity to take these images for them to capture this brief season in their life.

Nikki and PJ, you two are so precious together. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen someone who’s face radiates as much joy as yours does, Nikki! And the pride that he’s the one making you so happy absolutely shines from PJ’s eyes; it was such an honor to be your photographer for an afternoon!
