A New Year! I’m always a little torn about how I really feel about this time of year. For one thing, I love change and think it’s a huge part of what makes life fun. But I also adore Christmas and am always a little sad to see that season end. Goal-setting and new beginnings are some of my favorite things. But Christmas is just so peaceful and beautiful, and January brings the long winter. So, before we look ahead to 2019 and all that it holds, I thought we could pause a moment to remember all the joy of 2018.
I know this is a little late for a year in review post, but our New Year always starts a little later than everyone else’s. Husband’s birthday is January 4th, so that extends our Holiday Season a bit, and we really buckle down into year reviews and goal setting afterwards. 🙂
So, that being said, 2018 was a year of memory-making as a family. We spent time together, walked to parks, visited family, went to the beach, welcomed two new nephews, and many other sweet memories. 2018 was a fun year full of splash parks and local coffee and get-togethers with friends. It was a perfect first year of urban living and adventuring with these two sweet daughters of ours!
2018 was the year I officially launched Amy Ledyard Photography! The year was filled with beautiful couples, engagements, and weddings. It was a perfect first year of business!
2018 was a year of personal development. I took several online photography courses and read more books in 2018 than I did in the 5 years prior to it combined. It was a year of changes and adjustments and growth. 2018 was a good year. A great year, even! Thanks for revisiting it one last time with me today! I can’t wait to share a look ahead at all we have planned in 2019 later this week. 🙂
And, in the meantime, please tell me below what your 2018 highlights included! What did you do? Did you learn anything new? What goals did you meet? And lastly, what are you most excited about in 2019? Any big changes or new adventures in the works? I want to know!!
