Wesley and Brandi’s Fall Mountain Elopement

Where it All Began

Brandi and Wesley met when they both ended up working in the same Walmart’s Loss Prevention department. After working together for about a year, they decided to start dating, and, from there things progressed naturally. On her 30th birthday, they went on a hike to Triple Falls, NC. She had no idea that there was more planned than just a hike, but, instead, he surprised her with a ring and a question. When he proposed, she said “Yes!” without question. Then, the more they planned their wedding, the more they thought an elopement sounded more like the direction they wanted to take. So, they switched things up and started talking about an intimate elopement in Jamaica.

An Elopement?

Brandi and Wesley both come from loving families, though, and their families weren’t thrilled with the idea of them starting their marriage so far away from home. They wanted to be able to be involved and present, too! So, plans changed again, and this time everything fit perfectly. Instead of an elopement in Jamaica they decided that an elopement in the mountains of North Carolina would be perfect. Their parents were able to be there, proudly watching and smiling (and maybe wiping a tear or two!) on one of the best, most amazing days of their lives.

The Details

When Brandi and I met for coffee to discuss wedding details and she told me about all they were planning, from the little surprise she put together for her parents to wildflowers and mountain views, I knew that their day would be more beautiful , more meaningful, and more special than any I could’ve dreamed up! Just wait until you see their gorgeous day!! Some of my favorites are below.

Would you ever consider eloping? After seeing Brandi and Wesley’s gorgeous day, I totally would (providing I could still keep the same groom, of course!).

And, The Sweetest Surprise

As I mentioned, Brandi and Wesley come from very close families. So, Brandi prepared a little surprise for her parents, and I’m excited to share it now. 🙂
