The View at Emerald Lake Wedding: Jeff and Kari

It was one of those will-it-rain-or-will-it-shine kind of wedding days for this View at Emerald Lake Wedding, but you never could’ve guessed from the calm way Kari and Jeff went about getting ready. And their joy and excitement were unmatched.

You may remember Jeff and Kari from their engagement session last spring. They met on Bumble. She liked his beard; he liked that she got his Star Wars jokes. And the rest, as they say, was history. 😉 Jeff proposed on Kiawah Island where they’d gone to cheer on friends who were running a 1/2 marathon that weekend.

The Wedding

And, exactly 2 months ago, they tied the knot in what was supposed to be a lake-front wedding ceremony surrounded by friends and family. Storms drove the day inside, but it was no less joy-filled, no less beautiful. From the look on Jeff’s face when he first saw Kari walking down the aisle to everyone’s enthusiasm on the dance floor to the shared adventures described by the maid of honor and the best man during their speeches, every moment of this day was as full of love and excitement as a wedding day could possibly be.

The View at Emerald Lake

So many details made this View at Emerald Lake wedding special. The cardinal figurines sprinkled throughout the decor to symbolize the presence of Jeff’s mom and Kari’s dad, both of whom passed away several years ago. Jeff and Kari’s invitation to all the moms and all the dads attending to line up and take turns sharing the father-daughter and mother-son dances at the reception (and, let me tell you, those lines were a mile long!! If ever anyone needed proof of how cherished these two are, all you needed to do was check out the lines of people waiting to dance with them!). The toasts which described Jeff and Kari as the exact kind of people you want to go on adventures with, the kind of friends you want fighting your corner. And, of course, the pure joy that radiated from every moment of the day.

Jeff and Kari, your wedding was a dream. The two of you are incredible people, and I am so excited for you and all your beautiful marriage has in store! I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
