I think we’ve all established that 2020 is the nuttiest year to be planning a wedding. With North Carolina’s recent decision to extend Phase 2 and implement a mask mandate, I know many couples are struggling to know what to do in regards to their summer and fall weddings. Last week, I shared a post outlining some questions to ask to help you make a decision in planning your pandemic wedding. I promised to come back this week with more tips.
Today’s post is a little different. Before we dive into more detailed tips, I wanted to outline one beautiful, simple option. This is for the couples who have already decided that they’ll not be moving forward with their big weddings but who don’t want to put off getting married. This beautiful, simple option is what I’m calling the Pandemic Elopement.
Before I go too deeply into this, I want to point out that eloping doesn’t have to be a back-up plan. Elopements and Microweddings are not less beautiful or less special than a traditional wedding. They are a beautiful, growing trend that create a truly special and intimate wedding, and I am 100% on board with those who choose to go this route. Even when there’s not a pandemic dictating numbers and the amount of space between guests! 😉
That being said, microweddings are also a wonderful option for couples who want to keep their date and have a pandemic-safe wedding without sacrificing joy, style, and beauty. While there are a number of venues and vendors who are currently offering special microwedding packages in light of the pandemic, I know of one venue in particular who has put together a talented team of vendors to create an amazing, all-inclusive microwedding option.
North Corner Haven has recently started offering their Cherished Wedding packages. The simplest of these includes the venue, photography, florals, and a champagne toast. And they are stunning! You can choose what you need based on how many guests will be attending. There are even various ways you can customize and upgrade the package you choose with additional hours, catering, etc. Each package complies with state regulations and recommendations and are not only beautiful but also a safe option in light of the pandemic.
Whether you’re planning a pandemic elopement or you want a simpler way to plan and execute your wedding, I highly recommend looking into North Corner Haven’s Cherished Weddings packages. All of the details can be found on their website or by contacting their event coordinator, Becky.
