The Adventures of Afton and Adia- July Edition

My first post last week served to introduce myself a bit more and give you a glimpse into my heart for this exciting new business venture, and that’s all well and good, but you also deserve to see my people. As I mentioned, I’m married to the love of my life, and we have two amazing little girls. So, I’m starting this monthly series to give you regular glimpses into our daily life. I’ll also include Adia’s monthly pictures. 🙂 So, if your Tuesday is needed some extra cute, you’ve come to the right place. 🙂

The Adventures of Afton and Adia

Afton:

is HILARIOUS! Seriously, she says and does the funniest things.
has grown entirely too good at tickling me
loves to give hugs and “slobbly” kisses (and no, I have no intention of ever correcting her pronunciation of the word “slobbery.”)
notices EVERYTHING…and comments on all of it.
has the sweetest way of praying for her friends at bedtime; it melts my heart!
loves our adventures but wishes Daddy could always come, too (silly work getting in the way of adventures!)
enjoys learning and can count to 20, say her ABC’s and recognize a handful of letters, knows her colors and shapes, and can even tell you the names of the types of trees in our yard.
would spend all summer in the pool.
informs me almost daily that she wants to live in a really tall building.
ADORES socks and differentiates between “feet socks” and “hand socks” and usually is wearing both.
is the sweetest little sidekick I could ever hope for!

Adia:

is terrifyingly fearless! She 4 wheel drives over all obstacles and has a concerning fascination with outlets.
loves swimming as much as her sister does!
wants desperately to keep up with her big sister and imitates her to the best of her abilities
says “mama,” “dada,” and “hi.”
took her first couple of steps (literally 2) this past weekend
is a surprisingly adept climber
is a force to reckoned with! Seriously, she’s happy 90% of the time, but that other 10%? Whew! She lets you know in no uncertain terms if something is bothering her!
is curious…like her sister, she doesn’t let anything by her.
still has the fuzziest hair and the chubbiest thighs!
Is the sweetest little sidekick I could ever hope for. 🙂
