Steve and Gaby: The Wedding
True love stories are always the most romantic; that’s why I am so excited to share Steve and Gaby’s love story with you today followed by some of my favorite wedding photography from their gorgeous day!!
Sunday April 5, 2015 started like any other. Gabriela had just started working as a cashier at a store where Steve often shopped. He went in that morning like he had done countless times before, but, this time, something was different. A beautiful girl was behind the cash register this time. She knew from the moment she first saw him smile that he was the one she’d waited her whole life for.
They chatted easily, and he ended up asking for her phone number. Over the next month an easy friendship developed before he finally asked her to be his girlfriend. She said “yes” then, and a loving, exciting relationship grew.They dated for 2 years, and then, at their daughter’s first birthday party, Steve knelt down and asked Gabriela a question. She knew it was coming sometime, but she’d had no idea he was planning to surprise her at their baby’s birthday! She said yes, and I was there to capture the moment they finally said “I do.”
Steve and Gabriela love each other eternally, and their wedding was a perfect day of loving each other and their family and friends so well. And it was such a fun day! They incorporated so many beautiful traditions from their home country, Mexico. I especially loved several of these five (the lasso was my very favorite) and the sea snake reception dance!
The bond they share with their friends and family was evident from the first moment, and their family and friends were so kind and welcoming that I felt like one of the family by the end of the evening! Being there to see two individuals become a family is always incredible, but I especially loved being there for Steve and Gaby’s first day of marriage.
Steve and Gabriela, I wish you all the best! I pray that your life together will be filled with joy and laughter and countless wonderful memories.

Steve and Gaby’s venue, Trump Golf Charlotte, was so beautiful! The view of Lake Norman plus the flower arch made it so dreamy!
Gaby’s dress was this Lazaro Bridal ballgown with the most beautiful detailing! And her bridesmaids looked stunning in their matching, floor-length mint green gowns.
Her invitations were so beautiful! I love that gold filigree detailing!
You say “mint green color palette,” and I say “count me in!”

The rings
This was one of my favorite parts of their ceremony: The Lasso! It’s such a beautiful Mexican wedding tradition!
This is one of my favorite images from Steve and Gaby’s wedding. This clock overlooks their ceremony site, so, at the precise moment they were pronounced man and wife, I snapped this photo. They officially became husband and wife at 4:17pm.
