Liz and Thomas’ Uptown Engagement

Liz and Thomas are high school sweethearts. After graduation, he joined the military, and she went to college, but, even with many, many miles between them, they managed to keep their connection strong. They love one another, and they made protecting that relationship a priority even through the stresses of long distance, working for a college degree, and Basic Training and everything else that goes with being on Active Duty.

On his 23rd birthday, Liz and Thomas got together with some friends at a favorite restaurant. She thought they were just going to have a good time celebrating her favorite person, but then he got down on one knee and asked her the question she’d been waiting to hear. She said, “Yes!” and now they’re planning a wedding for late next summer.

They’re still long distance for now, but planning a wedding and knowing that soon they won’t have to be is an exciting thought. And, when they were both in town at the end of the summer, we managed to squeeze in an engagement session! I am so glad we did, too, because Liz and Thomas are two of the kindest people you could ever meet. I hadn’t even clicked the shutter once before it felt like I was hanging out with friends rather that “working!” They are quick to laugh –especially together–, and they love each other so well. You could see that they each make the other their priority. Just wait until you see how they look at each other in some of these images!!
